Community rules
Hunter is for practical help between people in Hong Kong. These rules apply to every quest, message, photo and profile.
Breaking them can lead to the quest being removed, the account being suspended or closed, the giver being refunded, and a report to the police.
What you can post
- Practical help: errands, queuing, shopping, delivering lawful items, paperwork, cleaning, simple repairs and assembly, moving small items, tech help, tutoring, photography, walking pets.
- Every quest must be a practical task with something to show for it. Hunter isn't for paying someone just to keep you company or spend time with you.
Nothing sexual or romantic
- No sexual services, escorts, dating, "girlfriend" or "boyfriend" experiences, or anything intimate.
- No quests where physical contact is the point, such as kissing, cuddling or massage.
- No paying someone to spend time with you: no company, dinners, drinks, dates, chatting, or going out together.
- No nude, sexual or suggestive photos.
Nothing illegal or dangerous
- Nothing against Hong Kong law.
- No weapons, drugs, controlled or prohibited goods, or fakes, and no carrying goods across the boundary for someone else.
- No driving people in a private car for payment. That needs a hire car permit.
- No dangerous work, such as working at height, cleaning outside windows, or anything needing safety equipment or training you don't have.
- No dumping rubbish anywhere other than a proper collection point.
No work that needs a licence
- Electrical, gas or building work, or plumbing beyond minor repairs.
- Security guarding, estate agency (such as finding someone a flat for a fee) or money lending.
- Keeping someone's pet overnight for payment, medical or beauty treatments, and legal or financial advice.
No money or identity schemes
- No collecting, moving or exchanging money for others, apart from paying for shopping that is part of a quest, and no letting anyone use your bank account, card, phone number, SIM card or ID.
- No loans, investments, cryptocurrency trading, gambling, bets, raffles or prize draws.
No employment
- No regular or ongoing jobs, recruitment, or domestic helper work.
- Hunters must have the right to work in Hong Kong.
Children
- Everyone on Hunter must be 18 or over.
- No babysitting or looking after children. Tutoring a child is allowed only with a parent or guardian at home.
No cheating or deception
- No doing someone else's exams, coursework or job applications for them.
- No fake reviews, likes or accounts, no pretending to be someone else, and no forged documents.
Respect other people
- No harassment, threats, hate or bullying.
- No discrimination. Don't ask for hunters of a particular sex, race, disability or family status unless the task genuinely needs it and the law allows it.
- Don't follow, film or photograph people without their consent, and never share someone else's personal details without their consent. Doxxing is a crime in Hong Kong.
- No spam or advertising.
Keep it on Hunter
- Keep payments and messages in the app. Don't put phone numbers or other contact details in quests.
- No fake quests, and only one account each.
Reporting
Use the ⋯ menu on any quest, applicant or chat to report or block someone. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours. In an emergency, call 999.
